You are doing an appalling job. You raise rates by staggering amounts each and every year and you don't even deliver the basics such as rubbish collection which we have to pay for ourselves. Instead you spend our money on stupid projects like cycle lanes that no one uses and tourist attractions which should not be the councils remit anyway and server only as a kick back to business owners.
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Return the council to its core responsibilities, water, roading, waste and regulation. Stop spending our money on commercial operations that do not benefit the rate payers and often make a giant loss (stadium). And cut our rates, we can no longer afford to fund your pet projects.
Finally bring back wards, this pool of councillors setup is simply an anti democratic means to keep career councillors around. No one even knows who their representative is anymore.
