Tūhuru Otago Museum is a fabulous resource in Dunedin and is of particular value as a learning resource for Dunedin Schools. Like many others and even more so as I am a local Primary School Principal, I was shocked and disappointed that Government funding for them was cut and they are now struggling. I would like to see their funding increased by the Dunedin City Council so that we do not lose this incredible asset for our rangatahi's learning. Based on this I would like to see the DCC fund Tūhuru at a 7% increase in line with inflation so they can continue with the amazing work they do.
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
