How are we doing? Is there anything you would like to tell us?
Pretty good, but we could do with more Barnes Dance crossings, such as at the 5-way intersection by The Bog. Also I know it's supposed to be ORC that does weed management, but it's Dunedin citizens that are suffering from the masses of Sycamore taking over entire neighbourhoods. If the ORC won't do anything (they've said they'll review in 2029!!!!? There'll be a whole new generation of trees seeding by then!) then the DCC needs to step up and do it instead, or at the very least lay into the ORC and get them to do their job!

What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Definitely need to have a more complete cycle network. Also better invasive weed management, either by the DCC doing it themself, or by pressuring the ORC to actually do their job. I'm thinking particularly the enormous masses of sycamore that are taking over whole neighbourhoods and forests. More traffic-calming measures in a variety of places, and/or lowered speed limits. Especially where there's the diagonal street parking (Union St E, Clyde St are two significant examples I can think of); currently the speed limits are 50kmph, in very narrow streets where people parked have to reverse out with little-to-no vision. Such areas ought to be 30kmph and include traffic-calming measures to ensure people have no choice but to drive more slowly and (hopefully) cautiously. A better harbour waterfront! Please! With better access for pedestrians/cyclists!
