How are we doing? Is there anything you would like to tell us?
I'm a fairly recent cycle commuter and am really enjoying the cycleway and shared walking/cycling paths. I don't think I'd have been brave enough to cycle through town without them.
I'm also looking forward to the cycleway out to Port Chalmers being fully open. Any time I've cycled along the Peninsula path it's been great to see so many cyclists, rollerbladers, dog walkers, pedestrians, pram pushers etc out enjoying themselves. Great work, keep it up!
My only request would be to please try and keep the cycling areas clear of fallen leaves and other plant material as well as grit and gravel as it can be a bit slippery.
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Please reconsider the funding cut for Tūhura Otago Museum. It is an amazing resource for the city/country, and orders of magnitude better now than it was when I was a child in the '70s/'80s. We need to resource it adequately to maintain this high standard and not let it slip back to the way it used to be.
