How are we doing? Is there anything you would like to tell us?
Generally good - appreciate the increased support of projects that include promote the visibility of mana whenua. However, this should also extend to increasing the support of mana whenua/Māori cultural heritage - not just contemporary/new projects.
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Increase the funding of Otago Museum to at least 7%, in line with inflation. I'm very concerned at the impact of funding not being increased upon the ability of the museum to care for and manage it's very significant collection, particularly it's Taoka Māori collection - it is home to the largest collection of southern Māori taoka in the world.
