How are we doing? Is there anything you would like to tell us?
I am saddened that some children may not be able access Otago museum's education programme. This is such a rich and valuable experience for our tamariki, across many levels and abilities. I work alongside students in special education and in the mainstream and the although the experience is different it is so important. They are using social skills in real life contexts, and learning practical, hands on skills that they will remember for years to come. What a shame to lose this experience because of funding and inflation. Why do the children have to have such a hefty impact?

What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Maintaining funding and levies for these types of programmes across all of Otago. Children don't know what they like sometimes, until they met someone who is passionate about their field and a love of learning grows. What a shame it would to never find out about our history, our environment, our wildlife, native plants, how bridges are made etc. These are the people who are our future, let's not limit them!
