How are we doing? Is there anything you would like to tell us?
I appreciate the efforts to better reflect manawhenua in our city landscapes and planning. Keep that up.. Please also keep thinking about the future of the city and its communities and how things are going to change so our city needs to be prepared. Be brave and be future focussed!
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
I would like to see better play space in our central city and consider it appropriate when thinking about the future where intensified apartment style centre city housing is likely and children will not have backyards... In particular I would like the Council to plan alongside the kainga ora developments that are happening especially with respect to the bus hub and market reserve opportunity and know as chair of Te Hou Ora Whanau Services that an indigenous based margaret mahy style playground is a space that we would work with council to achieve and would put some of our Lego research funded resource towards.
