Forget the totally unaffordable train trip to Middlemarch, there is no way it is ever going to come near breaking even, years of defered maitenance have seen to that. A city our size simply cannot afford an ongoing cost like this.
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Invest in the proposed cycle trail to link Dunedin, Mosgiel and Outram with the rest of the network of trails. This would have many benefits for locals and would also encourage many visitors to the city.
