I would like the DCC to support the Tunnels Trail project to develop a Shared Path/Cycleway between Mosgiel and Caversham.
I think the Tunnels trail project should be given immediate and high priority, without delay, with a focus of delivering operational sections as soon as possible. The tunnels trail is Dunedin's internal transport corridor between Dunedin and the Plain, as well as our link to the wider Otago cycleway network. This would be an amazing asset that would attract tourists to come and the locals could use it all the time, so money well spent.
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
The cycleways around the one way system are not user friendly, they are not used by cyclists that I know as they don't function well at all and are not safe to ride on.
