How are we doing? Is there anything you would like to tell us?
The idea of a more pedestrian based George street is lovely but, there is no parking. You've managed to remove 100's of parks within the city and immediate surrounds. No provision has been made to replace these. There appears to have been no consideration nor provision for parking thus far. Buses are ideal but mostly impractical. The biggest city users and commuters work at the Hospital - wouldn't it make sense to work with their shifts which would save on parking spaces? It would also make more sense to have SMALLER buses with more regular times available so that commuters wouldn't require parking in the city & could access a bus at desirable times. Love the oval-roundabout at the Regent/Park/ St David and George St intersection. Genius move. Huge tick. More of that sort of thinking thanks.

What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
*Parking in the central city. Where is it? What is being done? *An overhaul of the bus timetable and buses themselves. They're barely filled to capacity - save for peak times - make them smaller. Increase their travel times. An excellent example of this were the buses that ran from NEV to St. Clair at 10minute intervals in the 90's. Could this be revisited? **Signal Hill. This needs to move into the future. Ideally having a gondola from a Logan Park base - up the hill - to the monument would be perfect. You would charge patrons to use it. This would be renumeration for the cost and of course, funds for the future. Tourists, mountain bikers and visitors alike would utilise it. It could be an asset to the city. Public facilities could be installed and perhaps a cafe / tourist shop at the top. Taking in excellent views of the city. At present the shuttles and buses using the Signal Hill road are a hazard for what is a steep, at times narrow, urban and in parts, a country road. It is not fit for purpose in it's current state. There is a school to consider and everything to factor into that scenario; children, families, busy traffic and congestion. Livestock as well. People are often found walking to the monument and in parts the road does not have a sidewalk, so you'll find people on the road. It is dangerous at best.
