How are we doing? Is there anything you would like to tell us?
I came from Auckland to study and have now put down roots in Dunedin. However, the first few years post-tertiary study was a struggle as the city is largely nuclear. A large central heart with little hubs of activities in suburbs. Recent years have had some improvements but Dunedin still lacks multiple large hubs (malls, supermarkets, shopping, activities all in one area) where families can pick one to go and stay at for an entire day of entertainment for all ages (Wellington-Upper/Lower Hutt are great examples in recent years). Typical days out involve trips to multiple locations to satisfy all.

What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Marketing the slew of outdoor activities so tourists don't bypass/stay for longer in Dunedin on the way to Queenstown Encourage the development of more indoor activities (we're not exactly known for year-round beautiful weather), more business-tertiary engagement to offer students opportunities/reason to stay post-education. Develop the waterfront, it's a beautiful location and only has three(?) restaurants/eateries and nothing to do to encourage anyone to stay/ walk around
