I like the changes to George St as the area outside Farmers is more welcoming. I am concerned about the impact of these changes on the traffic around this area though. Love the new Mosgiel pool. I am concerned about traffic congestion overall. This seems to be getting worse, especially around the hospital.
What other ideas should we be thinking about to include in future plans for our city?
Improved parking options around the hospital. There are not enough parks for those who cannot walk far. I work at the hospital and see many patients being dropped off at the doors while family find a park. Some of the folk are elderly and in need of support. More upgrades for some of our local shopping areas that draw people to these areas. We shouldn't just focus on the city centre. Is it time to start thinking of a rail link, say from waihola to the city?
